Tanoil Investments Limited is an Oil Marketing Company (OMC) located in Dar es salaam, Tanzania; it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and was established and registered to conduct midstream and downstream petroleum business as illustrated under Petroleum Act (Cap 21 revised edition 2015).
In year 2017, the company was registered as an Oil Marketing Company by the Energy and Water Utilities regulatory Utilities (EWURA) and licensed in March 2017 by EWURA. Our company commenced business in March 2021 and expanded gradually using capital investment from the parent company i.e. Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC).
The company was formally incorporated on 22nd March 1999 as Commercial Petroleum Company (COPEC) with certificate number 35975. The name COPEC was changed to Tanoil Investments Limited through a certificate of change of name number 35975 dated 1st November 2017. The Company is licensed by relevant authorities as an Oil Marketing Company (OMC) including Business Licensing and Registration Agency (BRELA) and Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA).
