Tanoil Investments Limited is an oil marketing company under the Ministry of Energy of the United Republic of Tanzania and it is a registered company under the regulation of Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority of the land to undertake oil trading business.
The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and was established and registered to conduct midstream and downstream petroleum business as illustrated under Petroleum Act (Cap 21 revised edition 2015). The company was formally incorporated on 22nd March 1999 as Commercial Petroleum Company (COPEC) with certificate number 35975. The name COPEC was changed to Tanoil Investments Limited through a certificate of change of name number 35975 dated 1st November 2017.
The company main operations are midstream and downstream projects. Midstream comprises processing and transmission projects that include oil refining and petrochemical projects that aim to add value to petroleum products. Downstream activities include petroleum filling and service stations and commercial trading of liquid petroleum products.
Overall, our company represents the Government’s interests on behalf of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) in all oil related mid and downstream activities and projects along the petroleum value chain. The interests may include but are not limited to infrastructural development such as refineries, pipelines, supply and distribution of petroleum products.
Its operations are run the offices at Benjamin William Mkapa Tower, Azikiwe/Jamhuri Street, Posta Dar es salaam Tanzania.
