CPA George Nchwali is a Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (CPA-PP) and currently serves as the Chairman of the Governing Board of Tanoil Investments Limited. A seasoned financial expert and retired civil servant, he brings over 31 years of extensive experience in financial management, forensic accounting, investment planning, human resources, and corporate secretarial services.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam, a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (UK), and a Diploma in Accounting. His distinguished career includes key leadership roles such as Director of Finance and Administration at the Rural Energy Agency (REA), Finance & Administration Manager at the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA), and senior positions at the Rural Livelihood Development Company (RLDC) and the Tanzanian & Italian Petroleum Refinery (TIPER).
 

CPA Nchwali has also served as General Manager, Chief Internal Auditor, and Company Secretary at TIPER, and held internal audit roles at institutions such as the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), Agip Tanzania Limited, and as a tutor at the Dar es Salaam School of Accountancy under the Ministry of Finance.
His leadership has extended to national regulatory roles, including service as a Board Member of the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA). He has received international training in energy regulation and utility management from institutions including the Institute for Public-Private Partnerships (IP3) in Washington, DC, and the Institute of Public Utilities at Michigan State University (USA).
